FIGURE IT OUT
All the great people figured it out!
Figured what out?
That is what you get to figure out.
Ever wondered what makes great people tick? The truth is, they’ve figured something out—something that you’re invited to discover for yourself.
Take Trevor, for instance. He draws inspiration from Stoicism, a philosophy championed by Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Stoicism teaches him to focus on what he can control: his judgments and reactions. By understanding that much of our suffering comes from our own perceptions rather than external events, Stoics believe we can live a more serene life. It’s all about accepting the flow of life and letting go of unnecessary attachments and anxieties.
Then there’s Reus, who compares life to a river. Think of the river’s source as the past: it’s where everything begins and shapes who we are. The flowing river represents the present—always moving, influenced by our choices and actions. And when the river reaches the sea, that’s the future, filled with possibilities we can’t yet see.
Many books, songs, and documentaries offer advice on living a good life. While these guidelines can be helpful, I think they also come from the lives of others. Following them too closely might mean living someone else’s life instead of your own.
While it’s great to learn from others, remember that your journey is uniquely yours. Embrace the process, learn from your experiences, and don’t be afraid to chart your own course.
Life is full of potential mistakes and missed chances. Sometimes, it’s the mistakes we don’t make that we end up regretting.
